Prepare your shop
An administrator sets up the menu, tables, employee accounts and printers. Check a test print before the first service.
THE EASYORDERS GUIDE
Start with the daily workflow, then look up any feature. Each entry explains what it does, how to use it, and the permissions or conditions that matter.
Checked against the current app · 20 October 2026
Covers the cloud service on Android and the web app (PWA). Where their controls differ, the guide explains both. Button and menu names match the app’s English interface, which you can choose on the sign-in screen or in Settings → Appearance. Your restaurant’s menu, names and custom print templates keep their own language.
An administrator sets up the menu, tables, employee accounts and printers. Check a test print before the first service.
Sign in to your shop’s configured service. Cloud printing uses the configured network gateway or an on-site Android relay; keep that connection available.
Choose a table, add products and details, review the draft, then send it. If printing is uncertain, check its status and the physical ticket.
Mark items served when appropriate and close the table when service finishes. Use History for past orders and History → Period report for the current sales period.
EasyOrders manages service orders and kitchen/bar tickets. It does not take payments or issue fiscal receipts.

Set up the devices that take orders and the device that connects to your kitchen printers.
The Android app works on Android 6.0 or newer.
Use the installation file supplied for your business. Open it on the phone and follow Android's installation steps; then sign in with your own account.
Android may ask you to allow installation from the app that opened the file. Use the EasyOrders cloud app supplied for your business.
EasyOrders runs as an installable web app, opened from a Home Screen icon.
Open the EasyOrders web app in Safari. Tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, tap Add, and launch the new icon to sign in.
Use each staff member’s own username and password. A real restaurant account is required; the website demo is separate.
The web app provides staff and administrator workflows on a desktop or supported mobile browser.
Open EasyOrders and sign in. Where installation is available, open Settings > App update > Install app or use the browser’s install control.
Installing gives you an app icon; it does not make an iPhone or browser a direct network-printer connection.
Your restaurant's menu, tables, staff accounts and orders are shared through the EasyOrders cloud service.
Open EasyOrders and use your personal staff account. Staff can take orders over Wi-Fi or mobile data. Printing uses the connection installed for the restaurant.
Your printer model and connection are checked during setup. Keep the configured printing device and its network connection available during service. Access through the standby service does not restore an unavailable printer connection.
An authenticated Android device can connect cloud print jobs to private network printers when this is the printing path chosen for the restaurant. It is optional when a working gateway path is configured.
Connect the supplied Android app to the same local network as the printers, sign in with a dedicated account, leave Wi-Fi on, and keep the device powered. Allow background activity and the requested battery-optimization exception.
The screen can be off. Logging this same account into another device replaces its session and can stop printing. An iPhone cannot perform this role.
A real end-to-end test checks order entry, printer destinations and background operation together.
Send a small test order from a staff device, confirm every intended paper ticket, then reprint to one named printer. For a gateway setup, repeat with every Android relay signed out and the order-taking iPhone on mobile data. For an Android relay setup, repeat with its screen off.
Confirm both the screen status and the paper. Establish a manual fallback for network or printer interruptions.
Use an individual staff account on a device already linked to your restaurant.
Connects you to your restaurant's shared menu, tables and orders.
Open the EasyOrders app or web app, enter Username and Password, then choose Sign in. Your restaurant workspace loads after successful authentication.
Each username belongs to one account across EasyOrders. You do not need a business field or a restaurant-specific link. Use your own account rather than sharing credentials.
Lets you check typed credentials before submitting them.
Tap the eye next to the password field to show it; tap the crossed-out eye to hide it again. Account password fields have the same controls.
Showing the password changes its visibility, not the saved password.
Restores an existing signed-in session after reopening the app.
Enable Remember me on the sign-in screen. The PWA remembers sessions by default for dedicated restaurant devices.
After completed 2FA, a remembered valid session resumes without another code. Signing out, session replacement or server invalidation requires fresh login.
Keeps each staff identity connected on one device at a time.
Sign in with the same account on a replacement device. After login completes, the previous device is signed out on its next synchronization.
A wrong password or incomplete 2FA attempt does not replace the active device. Different staff members should use their own accounts.
Ends use of the current account on this device.
Open Settings → Account and choose Sign out. Sign in again before continuing account work.
The PWA allows deliberate local logout even when offline. Signing out does not clear the restaurant's shared History.
Adds an optional second factor to a cloud administrator or employee account.
Open Settings → Account → Enable 2FA. Scan the QR with an authenticator, or enter the Manual setup key. Enter the current six-digit code and choose Enable.
The authenticator must be linked and its code verified before enrollment completes. This is optional account protection, not an SMS login.
Requires the second factor after a correct password when 2FA is enabled.
At Verify 2FA, enter the current authenticator code in 2FA or recovery code and choose Verify.
Eight failed codes temporarily lock the account for 15 minutes. The previous device remains signed in until the entire new login succeeds.
Provides one-use alternatives when you cannot access your authenticator.
After enrollment, choose Copy codes, store them securely and choose I saved them. At a later 2FA login, enter an unused recovery code.
Codes are displayed once during enrollment and each works once. A used code cannot be reused.
Removes the account's authenticator protection and recovery codes.
In Settings → Account choose Disable 2FA, then confirm the message explaining that you will be signed out.
Disabling signs you out immediately. The next login uses the password; enrollment can be started again later from Account.
Find the right table, arrange restaurant areas and handle groups or table changes.
Shows active tables as a floor grid or list, highlighting open orders and unserved items.
Open Tables, expand its heading arrow and choose Grid or List. Tap a table to open its order card. A red ! marks unserved items.
An open-table indication reflects an order, not a reservation or payment status. Merged groups appear as one row in list view.
Makes a busy shift easier to scan by table number or open-order status.
While in List choose Numerically or Open tables first in the table actions.
This sorting choice is remembered on this device. It does not move tables in the floor grid.
Keeps table controls available without repeatedly expanding them.
Tap the arrow beside Tables to open or close the actions. Choose the needed action inside it; return to Tables later to find the panel in its remembered state.
Using a command does not close the panel. Its heading arrow controls opening and closing.
Lets the administrator inspect the table view without structural administration controls.
In the table actions, the administrator toggles Table view: Administrator / Employee. Toggle again to return.
This changes the table preview, not the account's actual role or saved employee permissions. Switching clears an unfinished merge selection.
Adds a named or numbered table to the restaurant's shared floor layout.
As administrator choose Add table, or tap a free + grid cell. Enter the label and confirm; choosing a cell places the table there.
Creating permanent tables is an administrator action. Existing active labels are not added twice.
Removes selected tables from the active floor layout.
As administrator enter management by holding a table. Use its red − for one table, or tap to select several and choose Delete selected. Confirm the deletion dialog.
Table removal is a layout change, not a way to cancel an order or clear History. Use order actions for order changes.
Changes where a table appears in the shared floor grid.
Hold and drag a table in layout management to a free cell. Dropping on an occupied cell swaps the two positions. Tap Finish editing when you are done.
Administrators and employees with table-layout permission can arrange tables. This moves the table's position, not its order to a different table.
Lets the administrator name and position the restaurant's areas.
Choose Pages in table actions. Tap a blank + to add a page, tap a page to rename it, hold and drag to move it, or use its red − to delete with confirmation.
Page administration is separate from order-taking. Position pages to match the direction staff should swipe.
Opens an existing table directly, or creates a temporary table for a one-off order.
Expand Tables actions, choose Create order, type the Table number or label, then choose Open.
Employees can use this without permission to edit permanent setup. A temporary table is retired when its order closes.
Treats two or more selected tables as one group with a shared label.
Choose Merge tables, tap the member tables, then Merge. Keep one member's name/number or choose a custom label and confirm.
Requires administrator access or merge/split permission. At most one member may have an open order; two separately occupied tables cannot be merged. Non-adjacent selections do not cover intervening tables.
Restores the original member tables and their positions.
Enter Merge tables mode, tap any cell of the merged group, then confirm Split tables. Cancel leaves the group intact.
An existing order returns to its original member. An order first created on the merged group returns to its first member. This does not split a bill or divide order items.
Build a local draft, review every quantity and detail, then send the order.
Separates the menu from your unsent items and the table's already sent order.
Tap a table, choose Products to select items, then Order to review the draft and expand Open order when present.
The draft count indicates unsent quantities. Already sent items are kept in the open-order section.
Filters the product catalog by the administrator's menu categories.
Choose a category in the horizontal category strip and swipe the strip to reach others. Products follow the administrator's saved order.
An empty search shows the selected real category; there is no artificial All category.
Finds matching products across categories by name or search alias.
Type in Search products. The search covers the complete menu instead of only the selected category. Tap X to clear it and return to category browsing.
Search ignores capitalization and Greek accents. Customer-defined names and aliases are not automatically translated by the interface language setting.
Lets you review a product's options before it becomes part of the unsent draft.
Tap a product. In Product details, choose its options and quantity and tap Save. Cancel closes the card without saving the new selection.
By default details open on every addition. In Appearance you may disable Open Without / Extras options whenever a product is added; it then goes straight to the draft and the pencil opens details.
Changes the number of units of a draft item.
Use − and + in the draft or details card, or tap/type the quantity for direct entry. Review the quantity next to the product and its line total.
Reducing a draft line to zero removes that draft line. It does not remove quantities already sent; use an authorized correction for those.
Lets a configured product have separate selections such as different portion amounts.
Tap the product to open its variations. Set each variation with its label, −/+, or numeric entry; continue to details and Save the complete selection.
Each variation has its own quantity. Numeric variations such as 0.5 or 1.5 multiply the base price; there is no second general quantity field in the next details card.
Records which configured ingredients or components should be omitted.
In Product details tick the relevant Without choices, then Save. The draft shows the selected omissions under the product.
Choices are defined per product by the administrator. Selecting Without records preparation instructions; it is not an allergy verification system.
Adds selected extras to a product and includes configured extra charges in its price.
Tick choices under Extra in Product details. Priced choices show their extra charge. Save and review the updated line and draft totals.
The administrator defines choices and prices. Charges apply to each unit of the configured item, so review quantities before sending.
Records a number of configured components, optionally charged per unit.
In Counters / +/- counters, use −/+ or tap the label to increase; in the product-details editor you can enter the count directly. Save the result.
A configured unit price increases the item price according to the counter value. A zero counter is not included.
Carries an item's takeaway instruction into its saved order details.
Enable Takeaway in the product-details card, then Save. Uncheck and save to remove it from the draft item.
This is an item instruction; it does not create a delivery service or process payment.
Records a free-text preparation note with a specific item.
Type in Comment / Product comment in the product details and Save. Reopen the pencil to review or amend an unsent item's note.
Your text remains in the language you type. It is not translated when you switch the interface language.
Changes an item's preparation options before submission.
In Order, tap the pencil beside a draft row. Adjust quantity and details, then Save. Cancel leaves its previous draft values intact.
Draft editing has not yet sent a kitchen correction. To change already sent items, use the separate correction controls in Open order.
Empties the current table's draft before it is sent.
In the Order tab use the compact red trash icon at the draft heading. To remove one line instead, reduce its draft quantity to zero.
Clearing the draft leaves already sent items in the Open order section.
Restores unsent products and their exact details after leaving the table or restarting.
Leave Keep unsent products enabled in Settings → Appearance. Reopen the same table on the same device to continue its draft.
Drafts are local to the device and business, not live drafts shared with another waiter. Disable this preference to discard unsent products on leaving; successful submission, explicit clear, cancellation or table closure also removes the relevant draft.
Displays draft item counts, line totals and a final amount before sending.
Review each row in Order and the Total band. Existing sent items have their own total under Open order.
Totals come from the configured menu, quantities, numeric variations and priced options. They are operational order amounts, not proof of payment or fiscal receipts.
Follow the saved order through submission, additions, service, changes and closure.
Records the first selection for a table and starts its open order.
Review the draft and tap Send / Print. The main button uses the restaurant's configured printer destinations; its arrow offers named printers. Wait for the result.
The server assigns the final unique order number. The button locks while a submission is in progress; do not treat a printer error as a confirmed paper ticket.
Adds new items to a table's existing order without resending its complete earlier selection.
Reopen an occupied table, add the new products to its draft, review them and Send. The new activity appears under the same order as an Additional order.
If the earlier order is already recorded but printing failed, a new nonempty draft still sends as a new addition. The older failed ticket remains available in History.
Keeps connected devices aligned on menu setup, orders, served state, table layout and merges.
Keep the app connected while working. Saved administrator setup and order actions appear automatically on other connected devices; use Sync in the PWA to request a refresh.
Incoming updates preserve the screen or settings subpage currently in use. Unsent local drafts are not shared edits; reconnect before assuming another device has received your action.
Keeps local working state and pending submissions so work can be reconciled when connectivity returns.
If Offline or a connection error appears, retain the draft/pending action, restore Wi-Fi or internet and let synchronization resume. Check the final order and printing status.
Draft work can continue locally. Shared cloud changes and PWA printing need the server and the configured gateway or relay connection. Offline drafts do not guarantee a kitchen ticket; use the restaurant's manual fallback when needed.
Changes the table associated with an order, or relocates its not-yet-sent draft.
With correction permission, choose Change table in the table's order card. Select a different table without an open order; Cancel returns to the source.
An already sent order records a table change and uses configured table-change ticket routing. An unsent draft moves locally and its move is recorded with the eventual submission. Pending failed prints follow the real order.
Tracks whether active sent items have been served and updates the table's unserved alert.
Expand Open order and tick a row's checkbox after service. Untick it to return the row to unserved.
The checkbox updates the displayed row's active items and synchronizes when connected. Served does not mean paid, cancelled or closed.
Records a correction to an open order instead of silently rewriting the earlier ticket.
As administrator or an employee with correction permission, use the pencil / Correct item on a sent row. Set New quantity, revise options, then Send. Set zero to remove the active item.
Both clients edit quantity, Without, extras, comment and takeaway. Android also edits counters here; the current PWA correction editor preserves existing counters. Corrections apply to open orders and remain visible as history updates.
Cancels all active items of an open order and creates a cancellation update/ticket.
As administrator or an employee with cancellation permission, open the sent-order section and choose Cancel order. Review and confirm. Android also provides Cancellation comment.
Cancellation is for the complete open order. To remove or amend only some items, use item correction. The PWA confirmation currently has no cancellation-comment field.
Ends the table's open order while retaining its record in History.
Use Close table, shown as a full-width button or a square ✓ beside the print button. Android asks for confirmation. After successful closure return to Tables.
The button is hidden without an open order. A known failed or unknown print does not block closure once the order is saved; reprint later from History. Closure removes the table's draft and is not payment processing.
Review the order record and the current operational period before clearing it.
Groups the final active selection and all updates beneath one order number.
Open History and tap an order's heading/arrow. Review Final order and Updates, including initial, additional, correction, cancellation and table-change activity.
Employee visibility follows account permissions. Settings → Appearance → Default history state chooses whether cards initially open or collapse.
Shows the most recently changed orders first and identifies who sent each update.
Read the card's time, compact waiter/quantity summary and expanded Updates. A new addition or correction brings that order back toward the top.
The waiter summary attributes positive quantities to the sender of each event; it is not a payroll, performance or final-amount allocation report.
Filters visible records using table, order number or waiter text.
Use the History search field. In the PWA its hint is Table, order number or waiter; Android labels it Search by table or order number. Clear the query to restore the list.
Search stays within the records your account may view. Android also includes order status in its searchable text.
Creates an explicit new paper copy from an existing History record.
With reprint permission, expand the order and choose Reprint. The main button uses enabled printers; its arrow immediately reprints to the chosen named printer.
Reprints use the configured History paper profile and remain possible after table closure. A successful reprint clears a matching failed/unknown print state for that order only.
Calculates order count, item quantity and sales amounts from uncleared History.
As administrator open History → Period report. Review the summary and the displayed period start.
A period runs from the last clear, regardless of calendar dates; open and closed non-cancelled orders contribute. Cancelled orders are excluded and corrections are netted. It is an operational report, not a fiscal or payment-settlement report.
Breaks the current period down by category/product, extras and product-specific omissions.
Scroll the Period report preview to inspect category and product quantities/totals, paid or Free extras, and Without counts. Choose one Printer, then Print.
The report prints to one selected printer. In the web app, this requires the restaurant's configured cloud printing connection; an Android relay does not print web-app reports. Categories reflect the current menu association; these figures do not track inventory, cost, tax or individual payment transactions.
Saves the current period centrally, clears visible orders and starts a fresh period.
As administrator review/print the period report first, then choose Clear history. Read the confirmation and choose Delete when ready.
This affects all accounts and clears the entire visible period, including open orders, not just search results. The next order number starts at #1. An archive is retained by the server, but there is currently no in-app archive browser or restore button.
Administrators maintain the shared menu used by the team. Products and categories have separate tabs. Save changes and allow connected devices to synchronise.
The Products main tab opens the administrator’s menu editor. Category filters select which products are shown; the Categories tab manages the category list itself.
Sign in as an administrator, open Products, then choose Products or Categories. Pick a category before editing its products.
Employees do not have this menu-management screen. The ordering product list remains available to staff.
Categories group the menu into sections such as drinks, salads or grill items.
In Products → Categories, choose New category, enter a non-empty name, then Save. Create at least one category before adding products.
Use names your staff can recognise quickly; category names are shared business data and are not translated automatically.
Changes a category’s label while keeping its products assigned to it.
Open Products → Categories, select the category’s pencil or rename control, enter the new name and Save.
Renaming is different from deleting and recreating a category.
Removes a category from the active menu. Android and the web app handle categories that still contain products differently.
In Categories, select the delete control. On Android, read and confirm the warning: the category’s products are also removed. In the web app, first move or remove all active products from the category; its delete button is disabled until it is empty.
Administrator only. Check the category contents before confirming; historical order information is retained.
Sets the shared category order used by the product list.
In Categories, use the up/down arrows or hold and drag a category’s handle to its new position. The list scrolls when a dragged item reaches its edge.
This changes menu order. Printer category-order controls are separate.
Adds an orderable menu item with a category, price and optional customisation choices.
Open Products → Products, select a category and New product. Enter Name in the app, choose its Category, set Price and any options, then Save.
Administrator only. A product needs a non-empty app name and a category. Changes become available to the team after synchronisation.
Updates a product’s current menu information without creating a second product.
Choose the product’s pencil, edit its fields, select a different Category if needed, then Save. Use Cancel to discard unsaved editor changes.
Existing sent order lines keep their recorded information; editing today’s menu does not rewrite old orders.
Name in the app can be short for small screens, while Name on tickets can spell out the full kitchen name.
In the product editor fill Name in the app and Name on tickets, then Save. If the ticket name is blank, the app name is used.
The order records both names when sent. Reprints use the ticket name recorded with that order. UI language changes do not translate either name.
The product’s price is the base used to calculate its order value. Paid extras and counters can add to it, and numeric variations can multiply it.
Enter the euro amount in Price in the product editor and Save. The editor accepts decimal amounts. Test an example order after changing prices or options.
This is order-value configuration, not a fiscal receipt or payment transaction.
Alternative names help staff find the same product using familiar abbreviations or older wording. Search also considers app names, ticket names and variations, ignoring case and accents.
Edit the product, add alternative search terms in Search aliases and Save. Check that those terms find the intended item in the ordering search.
An alias is a search aid; it does not create another product or change the printed name.
Defines ingredients staff can mark for removal, such as onion or salt. These choices do not add a charge.
In the product editor, add labels under Without. Android uses a comma-separated field; the web app has Add and remove controls for each label. Save the product.
The team chooses these options in the product-details card during ordering.
Defines additions such as cheese, with an optional price for each choice.
In the web editor add an Extra row and fill its name and optional price. On Android enter one choice per line in Name=Price form, for example Cheese=0.50. Leave the price empty for a free addition, then Save.
Selected paid extras are included in the line value. Keep the labels clear so staff and kitchen agree on the addition.
Counters are named components with their own +/− quantity and optional price per component, useful for a mixed platter.
In the product editor add a counter name and optional price under Counters +/−. In the web app use Add for each row; on Android enter each named counter and its optional price on a separate line. Save and check the product-details card.
The counter charge is its selected count multiplied by its configured price, added to the base/variation and extras.
Provides selectable versions of a product. Positive numeric portions, including fractions, multiply the base price; a text choice uses the base price.
Enter choices in Quantity options separated by semicolons, such as 0.5;1;1.5;2, then Save. Check each choice in an example order.
The current editor does not assign an independent arbitrary price to each variation. Create separate products if choices need unrelated prices.
A product image helps staff recognise items in tile view. Administrators manage images from the product editor.
Choose Select image in the product editor, pick JPG, PNG or WebP up to 15 MB, review the preview and Save. Choose another file to replace it, or Remove and Save to delete the image.
The app centre-crops the photo to 3:2 and stores a 480 × 320 WebP up to 192 KB; it does not keep the original upload. Images appear only in tiles when enabled and are never printed on tickets.
Sets a manual product order so frequently used items can appear where the team expects them.
In Products select the category, then use the product’s up/down arrows or drag handle. Move it to the required position; edge scrolling helps with long lists.
Ordering is managed within the selected category and shared through synchronisation.
Removes products from the active menu while retaining historical references.
For one product use its trash control and confirm. For several products tick their checkboxes, or Select all in the current category, then Delete and confirm the selected count.
There is no separate temporary sold-out switch or inventory quantity manager in the current menu screen. Removal is not a stock-count update.
Administrators create separate staff accounts and decide which additional actions each employee can perform. The administrator role has full management access.
Administrators manage products, categories, users and technical settings. Staff use the ordering workflow and receive individually assigned permissions.
Check your role in Settings → Account. As administrator, open Settings → Employees to review account cards and their permission summaries.
The Employees screen manages staff accounts; it does not promote staff to administrators or delete the administrator account.
Gives an employee their own username and initial password.
As administrator open Settings → Employees → Add employee. Enter a unique username and initial password, then Save/Add. On the web app open Edit afterwards to assign permissions. On Android permissions are also shown in the creation form.
Usernames are unique across EasyOrders. If a name is taken, add a business-specific ending. New passwords need at least 8 characters; common passwords are rejected. Your administrator creates staff accounts for this restaurant only.
Changes an employee’s permissions and optionally their password. Android also supports editing the username in this form.
In Settings → Employees select Edit on the employee card, change the required permissions and Save. On Android edit the username if needed; the web editor displays the existing username without a rename field.
The account’s permission summary helps you review the result. Connected devices need to synchronise to receive changed permissions.
An administrator can replace a staff account’s password when necessary.
Open Edit on the employee card and enter the optional new password, then Save. Leave the field blank to keep the existing password.
New passwords need at least 8 characters and must pass the common-password check. Leave the field blank to preserve the existing password, including an older shorter password. This does not reset 2FA.
Deactivates selected staff accounts while preserving the references needed for old orders.
In Employees tick the account checkboxes, choose Delete selected and confirm. Review the selected names or count before deletion.
Deleting an account removes its active sessions and frees its username. A later account using that name gets a new identity and cannot inherit the old sessions or order ownership. Existing history keeps its original staff attribution.
Allows an employee to request another print of a permitted historical order.
Edit the employee, set Reprint and Save. Staff then use the reprint action where it is available in History.
Permission does not guarantee a successful print; printer availability and job status still apply.
Allows an employee to use correction actions on permitted sent orders.
Edit the employee, set Correction and Save. Review this permission separately from cancellation.
Turning this off does not prevent normal additions to a draft order.
Allows an employee to use cancellation actions on permitted sent orders.
Edit the employee, set Cancel and Save. Grant it only to the accounts that should use the cancellation workflow.
Cancellation and correction are separate controls. Removing an unsent draft line is a different operation.
Controls staff visibility of failed-print information so nominated team members can notice print problems.
Edit the employee, set Failed prints / View failed prints and Save.
This is a visibility permission, not access to all administrator printer settings.
Allows nominated employees to use table layout controls.
Edit the employee, enable Edit table layout and Save. The employee can then enter the available table layout tools.
Personal table view and sort preferences are different from changing the shared layout.
Allows the account to use the table merge/split workflow.
Edit the employee, enable Merge tables / Merge/split tables and Save.
The same permission governs merging and splitting; it is separate from changing the floor layout.
Administrators configure printer destinations shared by the business.
Shows the restaurant's configured printing connection and its latest available status.
As an administrator, open Settings > Server / Printers and read Restaurant printing. Choose Refresh status to check again. The status also refreshes while this screen is visible.
A connected gateway does not confirm that a printer has produced a paper ticket. Each printer's connection is checked separately. If the service has no recent connection information, the app says so.
Each printer has its own connection and configuration.
As an administrator, open Settings > Server / Printers. Choose Add printer or Configure on an existing row, enter its nickname, device/model, printer IP and port, then Save.
Use a compatible network ticket printer and the connection settings agreed during setup. These screens do not pair Bluetooth printers or attach USB printers to a phone.
A nickname identifies a destination such as Kitchen or Bar in order controls and on its tickets.
Edit the printer and enter a clear nickname under Name (nickname). Keep the device/model field for identifying the physical printer.
When no nickname is supplied, the configured device name is used on tickets. Use distinct names to avoid selecting the wrong destination.
A stable local address lets the network gateway or Android device reach the same physical printer after a restart.
Have the network administrator reserve the printer address in the router or assign a suitable static address. Enter that address in the printer configuration and run Check connection.
The network gateway or on-site Android device must be able to reach this address on the local network. Guest Wi-Fi isolation can prevent access even when both devices have internet.
Only enabled printers are available for ordinary order destinations.
Edit the printer, change Enabled and Save. Before disabling a printer, review category assignments that point to it.
A routing rule that still points to a disabled printer blocks that routed send with an explanation; it does not silently choose another destination.
The configured order determines how printers appear in selectors.
In Settings > Server / Printers, use the up and down controls beside a printer to move it.
This changes display order; category routing still uses the destinations assigned to each category.
An administrator can remove an unused printer from the business setup.
In Server / Printers, choose the trash control on its row and confirm Delete. Review routing and fallback destinations afterwards.
Removing a configuration does not switch off the physical printer. Existing failed jobs retain their original destinations.
Check connection tests whether the selected printer can be reached without printing a ticket.
As an administrator, open Settings > Printing, select an enabled printer and choose Check connection below the preview. Read the result before testing paper.
A successful connection check does not confirm paper, cutter or print quality; use Test print for those.
A test ticket checks the physical output and the selected printer's layout using sample menu content.
In Settings > Printing, select the printer and choose Test print below the preview. Check legibility, paper width, spacing and the printer name on the resulting paper.
Test tickets consume paper. In cloud use, the network gateway must be connected, or the on-site Android device connected and signed in.
Choose all printers, automatic department routing, or one named destination.
With category routing switched off, the main send or reprint button sends a full ticket to every enabled printer.
Tap the main area of the split printer button to use the normal business-wide destination.
When automatic category routing is enabled, the normal action follows its assignments instead. Each printer has its own paper settings.
The arrow beside the send or reprint button opens individual printer destinations.
Tap the arrow, then tap the desired printer nickname. Selecting a row immediately sends to that destination; tap outside or the arrow again to dismiss the list.
A named destination sends the full ticket and overrides category splitting for that action. Reprinting also requires the account's reprint permission.
Automatic category routing sends each product category to one or more assigned printers.
As an administrator, open Settings > Printing > Category routing. Enable Automatically send categories to printers, then tick the destination printers beneath every category.
For example, route drinks to Bar and cooked food to Kitchen. A category can go to multiple printers; disabled destinations cannot be selected.
Fallback destination is used for categories without their own printer assignment.
In Category routing, choose one or more enabled printers under Fallback destination. Review this when adding a new menu category.
This is a destination for unmapped categories, not automatic failover when an assigned printer breaks. If a product has no usable destination, the app explains the missing route and stops the send.
Each printer has a cloud-service or Android direct-delivery preference. The configured method determines how the ticket reaches that printer.
In Settings > Printing, choose a printer and set Printing method according to the installed print path. Keep the setup team's configuration unless you are changing that path deliberately.
The direct preference refers to Android delivery on the printer network. A PWA can print through the cloud service and a configured network gateway without Android, or through an Android relay. This preference does not give a browser raw printer access. Native cloud-printer protocols require a separate supported integration and are not enabled by entering a printer IP.
Administrators can tune each printer's Order and History profiles independently.
Order controls tickets sent during service; History controls history reprints.
In Settings > Printing, first select a printer, then choose Order or History before changing its layout.
History follows that printer's Order values until a History value is changed. Check both profiles when preparing a new printer.
The live preview shows the selected printer's layout using real menu examples.
Use Preview type or its left/right arrows to cycle Initial order, Additional order, Cancel, Correction and Reprint. Change a layout control and inspect the preview.
The preview is illustrative and does not submit an order. Confirm the final appearance on real paper with Test print.
Paper width sizes the output for the selected physical printer.
Choose the printer, then set Paper width to 58mm or 80mm and print a test.
Use the width supported by the hardware. Narrow paper may wrap long names or custom rows.
Small, Normal and Large control the main ticket text.
Select printer and profile, then choose Text size and inspect the preview.
This is paper typography; it is separate from the phone's personal text settings.
A separate text size highlights extras, exclusions, counters and comments.
Set Extras / Without / comment text size to Normal, Large or Extra large for the selected printer and profile.
Use a test with a modified product to judge legibility on the kitchen printer.
Compact, Normal and Spacious change separation between ticket items.
Set Spacing between products for the chosen printer and profile.
Wider spacing improves separation but uses more paper.
Tickets can follow selection order, group by category without headings, or group by category with headings.
Choose Product order on tickets for the selected printer and profile.
Grouping affects presentation; it does not change quantities, prices or category routing.
Each printer/profile can have its own category sequence on paper.
Open Category order on tickets. Drag a row, use up/down, or choose First, Before, After or Always last from its position control. Save the dialog to apply the sequence.
Cancel discards temporary moves. Default order restores the menu sequence. This ordering is independent of the menu's screen order.
The header can show the table on the left and order code on the right, or put the ticket type first.
Choose Header for the selected printer and profile, then preview an initial and a supplementary ticket.
The ticket type distinguishes new items, corrections, cancellations and reprints.
Order code, table, time, waiter and ticket type can be shown or hidden.
Under Ticket content, toggle the identification fields for the selected profile and printer.
Keep enough context for the kitchen to identify the table and event. The destination printer name is included separately in the ticket's metadata.
Paper content controls item modifier notes and the order's general comment.
Toggle Product details and General comment in the chosen printer/profile, then preview a ticket with notes.
Hiding details on paper does not remove them from the recorded order; consider kitchen instructions before hiding them.
Tickets can include each product's price and the final amount.
Under Ticket content, enable Price for each product and Total at the end as needed for each printer/profile.
These are operational order tickets, not fiscal receipts or payment confirmations.
Numeric variations can appear in parentheses beside quantity, and the neutral variation 1 can be hidden.
Under Product quantity options, set the parenthesis option and Hide option (1). Check a preview using a product with variations.
This changes wording on the ticket; it does not change the recorded quantity or price.
An administrator can customize the labels for table, time, waiter, comment, total and footer, plus the prefix used for notes.
Under Text and formatting, edit the relevant label or Details prefix for the chosen printer/profile, then leave the field and inspect the preview.
Printed custom wording is business content. Switching the interface language does not translate these labels or menu names automatically.
The product row template decides which values appear in each item row.
Edit Product line format under Text and formatting. Available placeholders are {qty}, {name}, {notes}, {price} and {line_total}; for example, {qty}x {name}. Preview and test the result.
Long custom rows can wrap. If prices are enabled and neither price placeholder is present, the item amount is appended automatically.
The Order profile can enable a ticket when an order changes table.
In Settings → Print, choose the Order profile and toggle Print a ticket when the table changes under Automatic printing.
This controls the paper notice; the table move is still recorded and synchronized.
Order recording and physical printing have distinct outcomes; check both during service.
A recorded order may still be waiting for a printer. The app reports progress and failures separately.
Read the send result and any inline printer warning. If the order is waiting or printing, allow it to finish and verify the ticket at the destination.
A successful data sync alone is not proof that paper emerged. Do not enter the same order again to repair a print problem.
Retry printing reuses the recorded order and its original printer destinations.
Check paper, printer power, network and the network gateway or on-site Android device. Return to the table's outstanding print and choose Retry printing after fixing the cause.
For multi-printer jobs, retry contacts failed destinations and does not resend to destinations already confirmed sent. Routing changes do not rewrite the original failed ticket's destinations.
An unknown result means the connection ended without a reliable delivery confirmation; paper may already have printed.
Choose Check print status to refresh the saved job status, then physically inspect the printer output. If an intentional replacement is needed, use History reprint after checking for an existing ticket.
The app does not automatically repeat an uncertain delivery, to reduce duplicate kitchen tickets. A deliberate reprint creates another copy.
A failed or uncertain ticket does not prevent closing a table once its order is recorded.
Check the recorded order, then close the table using the normal close control. If paper is needed afterwards, locate the order in History and reprint with the permitted account.
An order that has not yet reached the shared server must be resolved before closure. Closing retires the outstanding retry control for that table.
A network printer must be reachable through the gateway or Android relay selected during setup.
Check printer power and network first. For a gateway, check router power, internet and its private connection to the print service. For an Android relay, check Wi-Fi, sign-in and background permissions. Use Check connection and Test print before retrying an order.
Do not assume an old queued ticket will print much later; unclaimed relay jobs expire. Check the recorded result and retry or deliberately reprint as appropriate.
Saved drafts and queued data do not guarantee a kitchen ticket while the required print path is unavailable.
Read the connection and print status. During an outage, follow the restaurant's manual order procedure and reconcile recorded orders after connectivity returns.
PWA printing requires the cloud service and the configured gateway or Android relay connection. An Android device on the printer network may use configured direct delivery, but offline kitchen printing is not guaranteed. A primary-only gateway route is not automatically available through the standby service.
Every account can adjust its own interface. These controls change how the app is displayed and used; menu data and the shared printer configuration have separate controls.
Settings groups account, theme, text, appearance, notifications and updates into separate pages. Administrator management pages appear only to administrators.
Open Settings from the main navigation and choose the page you need. Use Back to settings, or the device Back button, to return to the hub; Back closes an open dialog first.
Most appearance controls apply immediately; shared business editors use Save.
Changes interface labels, instructions and supported system messages to Greek or English.
Use the language selector on the login screen, or open Settings → Appearance → App language and choose Greek or English.
The choice follows the account through cloud preference synchronisation. Product names, comments, business names and custom printer text stay as entered. The app does not choose language by GPS.
In cloud mode, supported language, theme, text, product-view, table-view and sticky preferences synchronise per account instead of changing everyone’s interface.
Sign in with the same account on a connected device and allow preferences to synchronise. Make appearance changes from that account’s Settings pages.
Device permission prompts and Android notification-channel choices are managed by the device, rather than being granted automatically by account synchronisation.
Selects the light/dark mode. Automatic follows the device or browser’s system preference.
Open Settings → Theme → Display mode and choose Automatic, Light or Dark.
This mode can be combined with any colour palette.
Changes interface colours across cards, dialogs and actions. Available palettes are Warm Classic, Red Flame, Olive Green, Aegean Blue, Petrol Wave, Plum Night, Mono Ink, Graphite Gray and Amber Gold.
Open Settings → Theme → Colour theme and select a palette.
The app’s default palette is Warm Classic. Colour choice does not change order status or product data.
Provides Noto Sans, Fira Sans, Roboto and Open Sans for interface text, with Greek characters supported.
Open Settings → Text → Font and select your preferred family. Review the sample preview.
Noto Sans is the default. App font preferences do not configure printer typography.
Offers Normal, Large, Extra large and Huge interface text, corresponding to 100%, 115%, 130% and 145%.
Open Settings → Text → Text size, choose a size and review the preview.
Long product names may be shortened visually with an ellipsis on small screens. Price and quantity keep their own positions.
Controls the weight of interface lettering independently of text size.
Open Settings → Text → Text weight and choose Regular or Bold.
Review the text preview; receipt font and bold settings are configured separately by the administrator.
Chooses how the product catalogue appears inside a table’s ordering screen.
Open Settings → Appearance → Product display on the order screen and select List or Tiles.
This is separate from the spatial/list view of tables. Product photographs are available in tile mode only.
Shows existing product photographs in tile view or hides them for a more compact catalogue.
In Settings → Appearance turn Images on tiles (Android: Show images in tiles) on or off.
This preference does not delete the image. Only administrators add or remove images in the product editor.
Chooses whether the ordering product area scrolls inside its own panel or with the page.
Open Settings → Appearance → Product list on the order screen and select Scroll within the list or Scroll with the page.
Always-visible controls have their own switches. In the web app, turning off Keep send / close buttons visible also lets the order card scroll with the page.
Controls whether adding a product immediately opens its Without / Extra details card.
In Settings → Appearance turn Open Without / Extras options whenever a product is added on or off.
When off, the product enters the draft directly; use its pencil to customise it later.
Controls whether unsent draft lines survive leaving the table screen.
In Settings → Appearance enable Keep unsent products to retain them, or disable it to discard unsent lines when leaving the table.
This applies to unsent draft lines, not already sent orders. Make the choice deliberately before service.
Sets the default expanded/collapsed state when browsing history.
Open Settings → Appearance → Default history state and choose Expanded or Collapsed. You can still expand individual cards in History.
This is a display preference; it does not open or close the actual order.
Chooses a square ✓ beside the print button or a full-width button below it.
Open Settings → Appearance → Close table button and choose Square or Full width (Android: Square check beside Print or Full button below Print).
Both invoke the same close workflow; button size does not change its effect.
Keeps the category selector in view while scrolling the ordering product area.
Open Settings → Appearance → Always-visible controls and toggle Keep product categories visible.
Use this with your preferred product scrolling mode.
Keeps the order action controls accessible while scrolling.
In Settings → Appearance → Always-visible controls toggle Keep send / close buttons visible.
When disabled in the web app the footer scrolls with the page.
Keeps the switch between the product catalogue and current order accessible while scrolling.
In Settings → Appearance → Always-visible controls toggle Keep Products / Order tabs visible.
The switch changes positioning, not the order contents.
Keeps the take-away choice accessible in the product-details card.
In Settings → Appearance → Always-visible controls toggle Keep Takeaway option visible.
This does not mark every product as take-away; choose take-away separately while ordering.
Keeps the product comment entry accessible in its details card.
In Settings → Appearance → Always-visible controls toggle Keep product comment field visible.
Comments remain text entered by staff and are not translated when changing UI language.
Lets the signed-in user change their account password.
Open Settings → Account → Change password. Enter the new password twice and Save / Change password. Use the eye control if you need to check your entry.
Both entries must match. New passwords need at least 8 characters; common passwords are rejected. Existing shorter passwords keep working until changed. Administrators reset another employee’s password from Employees. Update older app versions before managing passwords.
Supported date and euro amounts use the selected interface locale. Operational timestamps and numeric prices remain the same values.
Change App language to change supported locale formatting. There is no separate date-format or currency selector in the current settings.
The app uses euros. Printer templates and custom business text have their own configuration.
Android and the web app have different notification controls. Technical backup and import operations are installation tasks, rather than everyday staff buttons.
Android manages order alerts, sound and vibration through the device’s app notification settings.
Open EasyOrders Settings → Notifications. This opens Android’s notification settings for the app. Allow notifications and adjust the available channels; on older Android versions the app-information screen opens instead.
New/changed orders and important connection or print problems use alerts; setup/reconnection/update notices are quieter. Background delivery also depends on device permission and battery settings.
The web app shows whether browser notifications are allowed, blocked, inactive or unsupported.
Open Settings → Notifications and choose Enable notifications when offered, then accept the browser prompt. If previously blocked, open the browser’s site settings beside the address and allow notifications there.
The current PWA does not provide reliable closed-app Web Push. It checks changes while open or when returning to the foreground; do not rely on a fully closed browser receiving orders.
A separate sound preference plays a chime for new orders and changes, including while the web app is visible.
In Settings → Notifications toggle Sound for new orders and changes. Choose Test sound to check the device volume and playback.
Sound and browser notification permission are separate. Browser playback restrictions, silent mode and device volume can still affect what you hear.
The app explains the automatic technical events used for reliability, security and troubleshooting. These include action results linked to account/role and a pseudonymised device identifier.
Read Diagnostics and privacy in the web Settings hub, or the diagnostics notice in Android Settings → Account. Ask the business operating the installation for its complete staff privacy information.
The notice says diagnostics exclude passwords, tokens, names, comments, searches, images and order content; this is not a screen recorder or employee-performance scoring tool. The device queue is limited to 400 events/seven days. Default server diagnostic and audit retention is 30/365 days and can be changed by the operator.
The connected account belongs to its configured business; the web Settings hub displays the business name alongside account information.
Check the business name and account in Settings before starting work. Ask the installation administrator/operator to correct business provisioning details if they are wrong.
There is no general self-service business registration, business-name editor or subscription checkout screen in the current staff app.
Staff and administrators can check and install available updates from Settings.
An available update adds a red ! badge to Settings and App update, and a quiet Android notification.
Open Settings > App update to see Current version, Available version and Release notes. Tap Check for updates to check again.
Ordinary optional updates let you continue work and choose the installation time. A required compatibility update can block login until installed.
Download and install retrieves and verifies the supplied Android release before installation.
Choose a suitable break in service, connect to reliable Wi-Fi, and tap Download and install in App update. Follow Android's installation prompt if one appears, then reopen the app.
Android may request Allow from this source for EasyOrders once. If installation is cancelled or fails, the update page shows the result and allows another attempt; avoid updating the only active printing device during a busy period.
The web app checks for a new version at startup, every minute while open, and when you open its update page.
When a new version is ready, a message says the app has been updated. Choose Restart now, or Restart later to finish your work first. Later, use Settings → App update → Install new version, or close and reopen the app. Check for updates on that page checks immediately.
The update never restarts the app on its own, and unsent products are kept. Restart later leaves a ! on Settings as a reminder. You do not need to remove the Home Screen icon or reinstall the web app.
